LMS achieve ATEX and international IECEx certification

LMS is proud to confirm we are now fully ATEX and IECEx certified by SGS Baseefa, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

As one of the major notified bodies in Europe, SGS Baseefa ensures products and equipment meet the national or international standards and regulations as defined by the European ATEX Directive and the IECEx international system for the safety of equipment for use in explosive atmospheres.

With an expanding fleet of load monitoring equipment being used around the world, the ATEX and IECEx certification is an important step for LMS to ensure all our equipment is tested and approved to be intrinsically-safe for use in hazardous working environments.

The certification complements our DNV-GL triple standard ISO accreditation for 9001:2015 Quality Management, 14001 Environmental and 18001 OHAS, demonstrating a clear commitment to continually improving the quality of our products and services.

Our Technical Manager, Richard Legge commented: “Hazardous working environments are common-place across many industry sectors and equipment with a potential ignition source must meet ATEX or IECEx requirements for the health and safety of workers in explosive atmospheres. We had to demonstrate our products, processes, systems and services were compliant with national and international standards and our team worked hard to meet the criteria and robust benchmarks set by SGS Baseefa.

“Achieving ATEX and IECEx certification is vital in supporting our growth strategy and greatly increases the use of our equipment in hazardous areas on an international scale.”
